Welcome To Andy Anson Wauchope
Anson graduated from Trinity College of Music with a B.Mus.Hons degree. He studied with Ann Cherry, Daniel Pailthorpe & Susan Milan. He also had coaching with Julius Baker & Jeanne Baxtresser in New York, USA.
Apart from his music, Anson has always been passionate about acting, modeling & presenting. This year he decided not to do music fulltime and to also devote more time to other artistic areas of his life. He is a real performer and feels there is much more to him then just playing the flute. Anson has Drama A-level, speaks French & has modeled for Ralph Lauren, Bruce Weber, Justin Pumfrey , Gandee Vassan, Getty Images with the film director Clive Howard. Anson appeared in dangerous parking, Directed by Peter Howitt of sliding doors & also has filmed for the movie, French Film.
To gain more knowledge of the TV/film worlds, Anson also works for Cast In Space, London.
Anson has just filmed a lead role for Tyski Beer Commercial, to be shown Europe wide.He also works for his sister's Natural Food Company, www.lovedeanlarder.com.
Anson loves sport and visits the gym, plays tennis, hikes, goes for the odd swim, ski’s and is passionate about horses. He is well traveled too and loves a good book
Anson has recorded works by Schubert, Sancan and Prokofiev with pianist Alistair Lilley for Claudio Records . He has broadcast for the BBC, CNN & King FM Seattle, USA.
Anson is now also exploring his vocal talents too & is interested in many styles of music and enjoys performing classical, through to movie tunes and repertoire by the likes of Sting. He is working on various music projects, some featuring his own work.
Anson has also performed for The Royal Chapel, St.Thomas’, in Newport, Isle of Wight, Patron, HRH The Earl of Wessex KCVO, alongside the author Vanessa Hannam, talking about her new novel, The Hostage Prince. This was in aid of raising funds for the chapel.
Anson has appeared alongside The Opera Babes & Primavera Orchestra, for NBC TV USA, hosted by Sir Terry Wogan, in aid of UNICEF, where he played various movie classics. Other engagements have included performances for The Grieg Society of Great Britain with cellist Raphael Wallfisch & appearances in various festivals throughout the UK & Europe. Other recent engagements included performing for the re-opening of Westminster Central Hall London, with members of The English National Ballet Orchestra.
Anson has performed with The English Mozart Players, The London Soloists Chamber Orchestra & has performed at The QEH and The Royal Albert & Festival Halls.
Anson has performed recitals for Tower Records, The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, Trinity Hospice and MacMillan Cancer Relief, as well as various Ambassadorial and diplomatic events.
He has worked closely with distinguished figures, such as Benjamin Zander, Summer, Diego Masson, Naomi Buttterworth, Bernard Roberts and Andrea Quinn.
Anson has given various premieres of music by Grieg (Anson’s own transcription), Antony Le Fleming, Ann Cherry, Andrew Downes, James Rae & Jonathan FeBland.
Anson is guest tutor for Trinity College of Music, London & The Birmingham Conservatoire.
